G35BMO Broadcast Monitoring Option

The WiNRADiO G35BMO is a next-generation system designed for continuous AM and FM broadcast band monitoring, recording, and IP audio streaming. By integrating the high-performance WR-G35DDCi PCIe receiver with the WR-B2C-40 down-converter / antenna combiner, the G35BMO delivers professional-grade performance in a compact and easily deployed configuration.

The WR-G35DDCi receiver is purpose-built for high dynamic range inside PC environments and well-suited to simultaneous multichannel operation. The WR-B2C-40 presents the AM broadcast and VHF broadcast bands at the receiver's RF input, enabling concurrent AM broadcast and FM broadcast monitoring.

Each band presents its own wideband spectrum plus per-channel expanded panels. Channels can be enabled/disabled, tuned from the keyboard or via click-tuning, and monitored locally or over IP. Receiver Signal Strength Indication RSSI (dBm), squelch, AGC/manual gain, and audio filtering are provided per channel.

Compact single-receiver architecture
Simultaneous AM broadcast & FM broadcast coverage (via WR-B2C-40):
LW/MW AM: 140 kHz-1.74 MHz; VHF FM: 87.5-108 MHz
24 total channels: 8 AM channels + 16 VHF FM channels, each independently tunable, recordable, and streamable
RTP streaming per channel (multicast/unicast) with G.711 PCMU/PCMA or 44.1 kHz PCM
Activity spectrum with static or adaptive thresholds
Click-tuning, markers, waterfall, zoom and wideband/zoomed views for fast signal discovery
Per-channel recording with pre-buffer, file-split, timestamping, and squelch-controlled pause for efficient archives

Applications
Broadcast compliance recording
Spectrum occupancy monitoring (AM & FM bands)
Audio archiving and on-air checking
Research & educational spectrum analysis use cases

Software

The software shows a graphical representation of the receiver (a virtual control panel), making it possible to observe the status of both supported bands and all 24 channels simultaneously. Each band has a separate panel with a “wide” spectrum covering the entire band at the bottom, and collapsible panels for the supported channels. In the collapsed state, the channel panel provides basic controls and information; and can be expanded to view additional features, controls and spectrum display.

The audio parameters can be adjusted individually for each channel or globally for the entire application (for monitoring or recording to an audio file). The receiver's sensitivity/immunity can be optimized by use of the attenuator and preamplifier.

In addition to local audio monitoring, the software can stream the demodulated audio over a computer network using RTP to multiple destinations. The supported RTP audio formats are:

Uncompressed: Linear PCM (16-bit, mono or stereo) with fixed 44.1 kHz sample rate.

Compressed: ITU-T G.711 PCM µ-Law (PCMU) and ITU-T G.711 PCM A-Law (PCMA) at 8 kHz / 64 kbps.
